well the small base circle cam from comp is supposed to be here tomorrow....... if it dosen't clear then i don't know what to do..... to keep everyone up to date on what happend, i'm building a 383 stroker with the following..

scat 9000 series crank for 87 up 1 pc seal ext balanced
scat 4340 i beam rods with 3/8 arp bolts
speedpro lightweight 383 flattops l2491f-30

i had bought a comp xe282hr cam prt no 08-432-8 from jegs and the rods hit the cam pretty good when i was mocking it up..... so i sent it back to comp and they grinded me that cam with a small base circle.....
i'm hoping it will clear but somthing deep down gives me fears it wont..... but only tomorrow will tell........

Mine cleared with those same pistons, pink rods, and a cut down 400 crank. Good luck.
