Car wont start.. help!
Okay, so I go out to start my car this morning. It wont start. It cranks over healthily, and it will sputter like its ABOUT to start, but it never will. I have a 92 with the 3.1 motor.
It was starting and running fine yesterday. Could the cold weather have an effect? Its got plenty of antifreeze. I dont know whats wrong with my car.
Ugh.

Check the basics, its it getting any spark and fuel? I once had the fuel pump go out in my 88 Camaro after driving 45 min across town. It drove just fine to get me there...but would not start to get me home.
If your coil had a weak winding then the cold may have opened it up (seen a coil go went bad in cold weather before). I also believe that HEI modules will give up the ghost with no warning.

I know its getting fuel, because I can smell the gas if I push the pedal.
Not sure about the coils, going to go check that now.
EDIT: Actually, I think i'll let it sit for 30 more minutes, and check the coils if it still wont start.

Now that I think about it, I dont think its getting any fuel. When I crank it over, the whole garage reeks of gasoline. Its like gas is going everywhere except into the engine... how can I check to be sure?
