starter solenoid

My old short body solenoid had a broken insulated cover, so I bought another one but it is the longer body solenoid. Will the longer solenoid take the place of the shorter solenoid without any problems.

It should, but without the copper sleeve and long cap screw for the starter power terminal. You should also check the clearance at the exhaust system.
