wtf reusable gasket....
OK on my daily driver a 93 blazer i got an oil change at jiffy lube and they told me there was gas in the oil and the guy smelled it i smelled it so i took it to the dealer twice because i was getting bad gas milaege and i checked the oil everyday and kept on smelling it. Well they said theres nuthin wrong and they took of the manifold but used a reusable gasket....... well tonight the blazer had a hard time starting(the engine was warm too) then the check engine light came on and it smells like firecrackers rotten eggs sulfer and the oil pressure is slighlty low and it idles rough. I no this is not about my thirdgen but its winter and i need help please help.....thanks
Oil pressure has nothing to do with the intake, although the rough idle could be caused by a bad gasket. I'm assuming the gasket is good since they left it alone. Sounds like you've got some other problems, though. You should have the code read somehow to see what that tells you. Are there a lot of miles on this engine? Sounds like you may have some bad gas or something wrong with your smog system.
Hard starting? Poor idle? Sulfur odor? Sounds lean to me.
First, what engine is in the Blazer?
Second, what "manifold" did they remove and replace? If it's a split upper plenum on an MPFI they may have reused a gasket. A 4.3 V-6 has only rocker gaskets that can be reused.
Third, what error code(s) are you getting?
