I finally got my 83 going again. Motor all broke in and everything seems to be good. Its a 350, 9.8:1, Crane 2040 cam, "993" heads, 1.94, 1.60 valves, aluminum 305 H.O. intake, WC T-5, Centerforce dual-friction clutch, BW 9-bolt w/ 3.45 posi, and 255/50-16 drag radials. The carb has a "G" hanger and "DR" rods. Im hoping for 13.5 if I dont break anything. I live in Phoenix AZ so thats pretty much at sea level. Gimme some ideas as to what to expect out of this thing. I also have the Edelbrock ceramic coated headers and 3" y-pipe, and a 3" Flowmaster catback.

 

i'd be guessing 13.6 so i think your in the area.

 

About 1320 ft of pavement and what the time slip has printed on it. I lost my cystalball, sorry.

 

Im not much help either. But good luck on what ever time you get. I wish I could go to test my new motor out, but we have snow on the ground now.

 

That's exactly what I plan on doing in the near future. Look in my sig below, and I have much the same setup as you do on my 305!!.

I plan to get a 350 or possibly 383, and I 'm only buying parts I can swap over to it.

Oh, I also have a Hooker supercomp Catback and a Weiand Action plus intake.. still being installed.
