Need help bad

Ok,

I switched from TPI to Carb

305
88 IRoc z-28

we got the carb, the intake, the new distributer all hooked up the car runs then dies, the intank pump is still in but unplugged

i have a holley7-9 psi in the nose of the car right in front of the carb and it pulls through the disconnected intank pump
we are using a regulater still but the problem is the pump in the nose will run sometimes and then sometimes it wont...someone told me that the intank pump puts out 120 PSI and it wont take any kind of regulater, hence why i have the other pump pulling through the in tank pump. do they make a regulator for this?

A TPI pump only puts out about 45-50 psi. You can put a regulator on it also....Who told you it puts out 120psi????? That is one hell of a pump then. USe you intank pump and put a regulator on it ...you'll be fine

Try using the search option on "fuel reagulators" It will give you all topics along this line and will answer more questions for you then I can. Hope this helps.

I think you want the Mallory three port fuel regulator. That is what I am using on my TPI to Carb swap with no problems. The Jegs part number should be MAA-4309
