Timing cover for roller cam engines

I'm putting together a late model roller cam engine and was wondering if they use the same timing chain cover as the older engines. This is my first time building one of these roller cam motors so I would appreciate any input.

thanks
Pete

AFAIK they are the same. GM's roller setup doesn't use the TC for anything, that's one of the things they left alone when they invented that weirdness.

I believe they are different, I just am not sure what makes them different.

I'm pretty sure the timing sets are different. I believe the cam bolt pattern is different so of course the cam gear is different from a non-roller cam set up.
