my lights wont move
my lights wont move
first, excuse my bad english,
i have a 88' firebird; a week ago we had a very cold night, so the engine didnt start. i thought it was the battery, so i charged it over night, later it came out it was the spark plugs, so i bought new ones... after installing them the engine did work well again, but the lights didnt move...
when i switch on the light, the light itself is on, but the "light chassis" wont move. when i manually move them up, and switch the lights off the "light chassis" move down normally, so the little motors are working. by the way, the interior light in the dashboard also doesnt work...
now could it be charging the battery although it was fully loaded did a short-circuit somewhere in the light electronic?
tnx for your help,
dwayne.
i just checked it again and just want to add that the left rear light doesnt work, only the left one...
could it be a broken fuse?

So your headlights are not coming up, but they will come down? Have you made sure that the "light chassis" is not getting stuck on anything? Sometimes it will get caught on the body, and that can ruin the motors as it tries to pull the light up. Can you hear the motors running when they are supposed to come up? As far as the dash light and your brake light in the rear(I'm guessing it's the brake light), they could just be burned out bulbs. Probably not a fuse.

no, they arent stuck on anything, i checked it
>Can you hear the motors running when they are supposed to come up?
no, only when they are switched off and go down

im going to check that.
one further question: where (if there is any) is the fuse for the lights & the little motors for the headlights? is it along with the ohers in the fuse box under the dashboard?
tnx,
dwayne
