I'm so happy

I know it isn't really tech related but I can't help myself, just poured this friday. it's 24 x 30 and will have 14' ceilings. just to make it tech, I plan on installing a car lift when I'm done. what kind do yall recommend and about how much do they go for?

I'm jealous. My garage ceiling is only 10'. The four post lift I was looking at was over $7k with hydraulic control and backup locking system. It had drive-on ramps or legs/dogs as an option. I might be looking at a twin-post next instead, but the four-poster can be used for stacking cars for storage.

EDIT: Hey! Where are your 'J' bolts? Or are you using expansion anchors? No floor drain? I know they aren't allowed in some municipalities, but they surely are nice for that winter washing/waxing. Better get the gas pipe and power conduit out there before you get too far into it, and don't forget the TV cable...

Looks like you next few weekends are already spent.

Well, I don't have natural gas in my area so there will probably be a propane tank in back somewhere, I cannot have any drain lines due to the distance from the sewer tap (about 200'), I will be running a 220v-100a service out there as soon as I get the walls up and a roof on it, around here you can set the anchor bolts in the block (which are already laid). going to start framing thursday. I saw a few places on the 'net that had four post lifts for around 2500 or so, I think I am going to try to find something that is portable so it won't take up all my floor space.

Ahhh. You're laying a few courses of block to get the wall height? Good idea. The 240/100 will be nice, too. I've got a 240/100 12-space sub-panel in my garage, and I wish I would have gone with a 20-space (full already). For the sake of saving a few extra bucks, don't make the same mistake I did.

Like I said, it looks like your next few weekends are booked.

Some lifts I was looking at:

Northern Tool Lift

Eagle Industries Lift

Bend Pak Lift

Meco with jack tray

American Custom
