smog equipment removal
I'm registering my car where there is no emmisions and want to remove all the smog junk. What kind of problems will I encounter if I strip everything out? I would assume that trouble codes will be popping up at the least. Anyone done this? By the way the car is a 90' RS.

I just did mine. Removed the pump, diverter valves, rubber hoses and replaced the check valves with caps. There is no code for the AIR system so I'm not worrying about a check engine light going off. Only problem you may end up having is a prematurely clogged CAT, but since there's no emissions, might as well remove that too. Good mod to do to get rid of some weight and free up space under the hood.

Hell yeah, thanks for the help. Those hoses and crap really got it the way when I installed my headers. Unfortunetly I bought the headers with AIR fittings. Guess I'll just weld those closed.
