help,i need to know what aprox numbers would i get from a 350 with stock tpi heads,a comp cams 280H cam(230,230 at .050")(.480 lift)it ainīt a roller cam,can i use it with my engine?i also think about a set of 1.6 rockers on my exhaust valves, would it be better with them on both intake and exhaust?,the whole combo would be,(if possible) as written below:

1990 350 TPI
stock heads
weiand "stealth" intake
holley 750 vacuum secondaries
1.6 rocker arms
comp cams 280H cam
rhoads variable duration lifters
maybe oversized valves(2.02,1.60)
shorty hedders
2.5 inch dual exhaust with an h-pipe
flowmaster delta flow 40-series mufflers

i think it pretty much is it,but i have some doubts:

can old style heads parts(above)be used on centerbolt heads?
can this cam(hidraulic flat tapped)be used on this block?
what mods are needed to install an old style intake on these heads?
is all what iīm askin just plain ?

i hope you can help me with this as im really new to chevy engines(never owned centerbolts before)

thanks for all,Paul

p.s. any suggestion are reallty apreciated for a carbīd 350.

OK, here it is. Much better than the original L98. If you add oversized valves or 1.6 rockers you might gain 10 hp or so.

Oops! I used the TPI intake. Here it is with the dual plane. Not much different.

I think a dual pattern cam like the Comp XE 262 or 268 would give you more power.

I just ran the 262 and 268 but they give less power.

L98 heads respond very well to a good port and polish job. Probably add 20 or 30 hp.
