if i have to get my head gasket changed how much money am i looking at spending?? i'm thinking alot

if you're doing it yourself call some partsd stores in your area for prices on a gasket set, figure 50 dollars plus another 50 or so for oil and such. if you're going to have a shop do it call and ask their rates, they'll all charge the same amount of time (flat rate), i'd suspect it to be in the 4-5 hour range.

well, depending on a few things it looks like chilton time is from 13.1-14.0 hours to do both head gaskets on a 86 tbi f-body ouch!
