low/no oil pressure?
got my car running but wtf, the gauge (stock cluster) is reading in the red (it moves up a little from bottom but still in the red) and when i pull off the sender wire it pegs.... my engine seems to run fine so i think im getting enough pressure.. could the sender or gauge be messed up?

a couple ?s
did you build the motor?
If so did you plastigauge the main and rod bearings?
if you rebuilt it, what oil pump did you use?
and i had a 350 a while back that i quickly threw together and it did the same thing, ran good but had no oil pressure, i had the crank turned and new bearings so i thought it was alright, turns out the block needs align bored. so now i have a 406 in it that i took my time putting together and measured everything twice and out a new oil pump in and its getting 58 psi of oil pressure hot. good luck with it

The senders go bad alot, and they don't cost much.... Personally I'd go directly to paying $18 or whatever for a new one, skip all that hookin up and fooling around, and then pay $18 and change it out anyway...
