Try this: Unplug the electrical connector at the transmission and go for a drive.

I'm wondering if your TCC is staying locked up and causing it to stall going into gear. Unplugging the connector will rule that out (electrically anyway).

Does it kinda lug while pulling away and shift rough?

One quick way to check the torque converter lock up is to drive the car at a steady speed (50 mph is good) keeping the car at speed, tap the brakes and watch the tach. You should see a momentary rise of a few hundred RPM. Check it several times to be sure. If you don't get the rise in RPM then the converter is stuck in lock up.
