Pulling engine and auto tranny?
Hey i was wondering if anyone has used a regular engine hoist to yank a small block with an automatic out of a 3rd gen.. if you have did you run into any trouble? im doing this pretty soon and was wondering if i can just pull em both out or if i should pull the engine then the tranny.. tryin to save a lil time here
Engine and trans will come out in 1 piece with most any hoist. just be sure to disconnect everything from the trans and support it with a jack or large block of wood until you get the hoist hooked up and leveled out a bit.
Also be aware that with the auto trans the cooling lines are held to the oil pan on the engine with some little clips.
