Anyone Want To Be A BIG BROTHER To Me?!?!

im fairly new to all car stuff and still have so much more to learn. but im so dedicated to my fbody and am plannig a complete rebuild for my car. i want to drop a 383 stroker in with my tpi setup i have now and a t56 tranny plus bigegr brakes. im taking care of my suspension mods right now and think i can handle that. but im looking for someone that has some time that can just chat with me to help me out a little bit on the stuff i need to know to pretty much build my car especially the engine. so basically im just looking for a big brother to answer questions for me and stuff. if anyone cares or wants to then you can reply or email me or instant message me Benjiboy69er@aol.com

thanks and BTW why does my car seem to bounce up and down when im rolling. i thought somethign may be broken underneath or maybe a bent axel but i cant find anything wrong. anyother suggestions?

All the folks on thirdgen are pretty good about helping out newcomers. We tend to savage those who mock simple questions because we keep in mind that once upon a time we didn't know much either. So you've got several thousand big brothers at hand here

Don't be afraid to ask simple questions

It sounds like your shock absorbers have seen better days. Most folks here like the price/performance ratio of the KYB Gas-Adjust shocks.

Or it might be a bent rim, or a radial tire coming apart at the layers. If you see any bulges in the tires, either on the side or the bottom (treads), that is the problem. Sometimes radials will come apart like that when they are rotated to a different wheel that has them turning the opposite direction.

My choice for shocks if you can afford them would be Bilsteins.

I tried KONI's great for not on the street, (read harsh ride), but have had nothing but good luck with Bilsteins.

I believe Steve Spohn's site has them for 430 something for a set of 4.

Ouch! Heh, I knew there was a reason I didn't replace the factory Bilsteins.

KYB's would be your best bang for the buck.
