Vacuum Problem??

Alright, I have a 86 LG4 and I think I have a vacuum leak somewhere because when I start my car up up the vents on the inside of my dual snorkal aircleaner won't close, the carb has a massive flat spot when cold, and I can never get my cruise control to work. Where is the best place to check the vacuum for a good reading? Would it be a good idea to just go through and replace all of the hoses? Is there any sensors I should be looking at replacing?
Thanks in Advance

By "vents", do you mean the EFE air valves? Those are controlled by a TVS mounted in the base of the air cleaner assembly. Make sure the hoses are connected correctly.

Yes, you should closely inspect or replace the vacuum hoses every 30,000 miles.

A good source of manifold vacuum is the PCV valve or the 'N' port on the carburetor base.

Your hose routing should be verified. It should be something like this:

Wow, thanks alot vader I really needed that diagram. Is that for all LG4's? I know right off the top of my head that my air cleaner is attached to N on the carb. instead of B that it is supposed to be. Do you think it would be a good idea to change everything to the way it shows in this diagram? Would it change anything if I have cruise control? Also i have like 5 or 6 hoses coming out my canister unlike the two coming out of the one in the diagram, do you think it is for non egr stuff??
Thanks again

I didn't catch the fact that you may have an export model, so your '86 may not have a BARO sensor. If that's the case, your diagram should be more like this:

That looks alot closer to what is on the car now. I think I'm going to just go through and replace the hoses and check there routing.
Thanks
