oil pressure
HELP!!!!!! oil pressure
I have a 92 Camaro RS with a 305 TBI and the oil pressure will rise to about 45 to 50 on a cold start then slowly go down to about 15 at idle. when i'm cruising at about 50 mph it will go to about 25 to 30. My pressure seems to fluctuate depending on rpm, the more rpm the more pressure, vise versa, is this normal? What could be the problem?

that's fine. factory gauges aren't acurate, so don't worry about pressure. fluctuation is normal, cold engines, higher pressure, same w/ rpms , all ok.

10 for every 1,000rpm's is the general rule of thumb. If you have that you are good. It is suppose to fluctuate, the more rpms you have the faster your engine is moving and the more pressure it will build up.
