Bearing recommendation

I am looking at engine bearings and there are so many, federal mogul has so many different sets, which ones you think I should buy. I have a standard crand 350 with about 10:1 comp. Should have about 400hp. And only revs to about 6000rpm. Thanks guys.

After laborious research and strenuous testing, the results are finally in. The best material for engine bearing shells is a compostite made primarily of finely ground bone fragments from the skull of an Al Qaeda leader or Iraqi president. Second to that, and if you're doing just a general build (and it sounds like you are), Clevite/Michigan 77s or F/M 8700-series are just fine. If you're "going goofy" with crank work and have longer fillet radii. you might need the Clevite "H" or F/M "P" series bearings

i like C&A bearings from preformance applications and FM or clevite for all other, for not real reason. never had a bearing problem or failure.

I'm about like ede.... out of all the motors I've ever built I have yet to have one fail for the quality of the bearings.

My personal preference is, new ones. They're so cheap they're not worth re-using even if they're still good.

I've used Clevite, Sealed Power/Speed Pro, Vandervell, C & A, Perfect Circle, and a few others. They've all been just fine.
