Car limiter
well got a new car a 1990 cammaro rs v-8 305 my question is that it has a limiter at about 120 but this is my racing car as well as my daily driver so i kinda wanna get rid of the limiter so i dont have to contend with it while racing circle track or other wize so any info on this and how to get rid of it would be greatly appriciated

you need to get rid of the governer in the prom. the easiest ways are to find some one who will burn you a prom for a couple of bucks w/o the governer or buy the prom burning equipment and do it yourself. The equipment (burner + software + chips) is around 200 dollars but its worth it in the long run. That way you can make future changes to your prom as you mod teh car.
Actually the EASIEST way to get around that would be by disabling the VSS.

just replace the prom. not something you have to worry about though. a tbi 305 sure isn't going to hit 120 without alot of track. the eprom change will pick up some ponies anyway.

well im plainning on droping in a 383 lt1 over the summer (drooling) so i kinda wanna get rid of the speed limiter before i do it
