after i bought my car the starter would click. i replaced the starter and it did good for a month or so. now it will click as if the starter acuator is hitting the flywheel. sometimes it starts fine but other times it clicks. i need help!

 

did you buy a brand new one? or a crappy remanufactured one? i know ive had quite a few reman alternators go out on me within a month

 

it was brand new. could it have to do with th eignition, maybe a ground

 

Bad parts from stock perhaps? Replaced starter with new one ran good for a month and now making noise again? The starter you purchased did it require shimming?? Usually starter clicking is dead battery and solenoid not engaging starter to turn eng over. Make sure you have all your connections nice and tight, shimmed if need be and a good battery. Problem still there..take that starter back and get another one.

 

it might be the solenoid, battery is good. my brother is getting me a light-weight starter. i have to get different bolts first. thanks
