Car won't start after sitting awhile

I currently have my car off the road for the winter, its not in a garage, its covered outside. Its been really cold this winter so about every two weeks I'll start the car and let it run for awhile. But I went to start my car the other day and it cranked over a few times and almost started but then the battery died. So I hooked up the jumper cables and it still won't start. It cranks over strong but won't fire, occasionally it will alomost start, kinda sputters. It is getting spark, and fuel pressure is at about 45psi. I know the car is getting flooded, I can smell the gas. I heard if you hold the gas pedal to the floor while you are starting the car it cuts the fuel, I tried that and still no luck. I had a similar problem over the summer and that was because my timing was way off. I don't think it would be the timing again because the car hasn't been driven in 3 months. It started and ran fine about two weeks ago. I have no idea why it won't start, any help is much apreciated. Thanks.

The first thing you'll need to do is to get some dry plugs in it.

Sounds like it might be the timing. Did you try adjusting it before?? Did you tighten down the distributor clamp afterwards?

Car: Camaro of course
How long has that tank of fuel been in the car. I had that problem once, it would be best to purge the tank and put a fresh tank of gas in w/ Sta-bil (makes fuel stay for like over a year), aside form that just make sure you have spark (take the boot off the sparkplug wire, put a screwdriver in the terminal (hold one w/ a RUBBER HANDEL) and hold it next to the spark-plug, you should see a spark.) if that works move on the the fuel, pull off the line and check for proper fuel flow, than make sure everything is clear of anything blocking the airway. Fuel, spark and air
