At what point should you use 7/16" rocker studs?

Is there a certain RPM, valve lift, spring pressure, or whatever that would need 7/16" rocker studs?

Spring pressure and lift kind of go hand in hand...

I'd say anything over .600" lift or 450 lbs open prssure, it's time to start thinking about upgrading; or at the very least, getting a stud girdle.
