Ok guys, need alot of help and opinions on my engine....

Ok heres the story. I have a 100% stock Pontiac 350. It has a Rochester 2 barrel carb on it, and has 63,000 original miles. Now since the whole car is original (except for the paint) I would like to keep it numbers matching. But come on now, I need POWER. I would like somewhere between 350-400hp. My first idea to get some power is a new intake manifold and carb. I was thinking somewheres around a 700 cfm. Next I was thinking of possibly doing a 383 stroker, or maybe just bore it out to a 355. Now I would like to get some headers that go back into dual mufflers, like a true dual setup. Also I would like to put a high performance cam in it. I guess what I am asking is, what would be the best things to do to squeeze some power out of this motor? Also brand names and such would be appreciated too. Remember I would like to keep numbers matching and all. Oh and by the way, its going to be a street car, that I may run at the track here and there, but mostly for cruising and smoking ricers and such. Thanks ALOT!

don't believe you're going to be able to make a 383 out of a pontiac engine. check out some pontiac sites or books and find the better heads, go with a larger crank or whatever you need to increase the displacement since they use the same blocks reguardless of engine size. cam, heads, intake, exhaust all will increase preformance just like on a chevy, or even a ford engine.
