355 cubic inches is 5.82 Liters

call it what you want.

Metric is for *******. I'd call it a 355 or a 30-over 350.

Better yet, go to a parts store lookin for parts. Go to the counter with the dumbest lookin geek, and ask for a water pump. when he asks "what engine", say 30-over 350, and see if he goes,"mmmm-kay, the computer doesn't list a 380"

If I saw someone ask for a water pump for a "30-over-350" I would think they were an idiot. Only if the kid behind the counter looked for a 380 would he be a larger idiot, but I doubt that would happen.

You could call it that.

Nobody else will care.

It's a 350.

Personally I hate the idea of treating routine maintenance such as block boring, as an "upgrade". It is a form of mental cheating.... "yeah I've got this engine that was so wore out it went through a quart of oil ever 100 miles so I bought that kit that adds 5 cubic inches. That fixed it."

Wow! It isn't very often you hear the words "nice", "Dodge", and "360" in the same sentence. Did they radically change the design of the old boat anchor without telling anyone?

No. They put it in a truck with 700lbs over that rear axle so it'll roast tires for 2 blocks. People think that's cool ya know.

If you want to get the approximate liters of what your engine is, just divide the CID by 61.024

This is an approximate. You can't get a direct answer since everything is rounded up or down to the nearest whole number, or the nearest tenth if you're talking about liters.

1 Liter = 61.0237441 CID
