Heater core is leaking,and want to bypass.I did a search and it seems every year car has a different route the coolant goes,everyone says just take the 2 hoses by the firewall and connect them,but there isn't alot of room to work,on my car the coolant goes to the bottom,left side of throttle body(intake),and comes from a fitting under the radiator cap.Can I just run a hose from the throttle body(intake) to the radiator?Thanks

 

Yes, you can do that.

 

That's exactly what I did and ran it like that for a few months in the summer time when I didn't need heat... Had to use a 1/2 to 3/4 adaptor and I flushed the core out with water so it only had water left... had I air, I would done that too so it stops leaking period...

 

Thanks,I never have to use the heater anyway here in So-Cal,I was looking at the hoses on my V6 before I sold it,and it was a lot more complicated than my V8,Can I get this adapter at like napa or kragen?

 

I bought it at an engine shop cause it was on my way home from work. Just a piece of PVC

 

I used a 3/4 to 5/8 adapter,only $4 at Napa.
