hey, i live about 20 min away from u, lol. your the first person i've seen on the board that lives in my area. well i recently brought my car in to be serviced. i brought it to a place called Al's Auto in wappingers falls. they fixed my timing and i'd assume that they can also check all of the sensors. hope this helps.

well, do u know where myers corners road is? well at the big intersection on rt 9 if u were coming from poughkeepsie, u'd take a right at that intersection, and it's maybe 20 ft up on the left. sorry i know i dont give very clear directions

ok, u come from poughkeepsie on rt 9 and when u get to the intersection where u'd turn left to go onto myers is, u don't turn left onto myers, instead u turn right, and go up the hill and the mechanics is on the left, u can't really miss it. his number is 845-298-9178, they did a good job diagnosing my car, although it's tbi.

i have an 89 camaro RS, with a 305 and a 700-r4. it's pretty much stock except for the flowmasters exhaust i have on it. as soon as i get some money, i'm swapping over to TPI and getting a good set of headers.

thats cool my first third gen was a tbi formula 305 700r4 that was a nice car t-tops blue man that car handled good. why do you want to switch to tpi? they make a 300 hp tbi motor that kicks but you should look into that.they actually have some performance stuff for the tbi now years ago there was nothing.

yea i was thinking about doing those ultimate tbi mods, but i'm still undecided on what i'm gonna do. i guess i'll have to do some more research. what i'm really looking for is good off the line performance, i don't really care about high end too much.

mechanic? man you should always try to work on your car yourself unless your a trusting mother****er (not only that you save $ in the long run). Get some books to get you started, plus theres TONS of knowledgable people right here on the board that can help you out with mostly anything you need, need I mention technical articles? good luck man

. Just save your pennies and get a cheap Laptop from E bay, they can be had for less than $50 and make a cheap 2 trans cable ($8 in parts from ratshack) This way you'll be able to do it anytime you want and will learn a great deal about the inner workings of your ECM/engine combo.
