Viton Valve Stem Seals
I have a set of Vorted heads that have been machined for larger springs and more lift. I am now trying to find a set of Viton valve stem seals for these heads. My guides are .531 OD and my valves are 11/32. I want a positive type of seal, but I don't want teflon. Any ideas where I can pick up a set of Vitons or similar seals? I have checked Summit and Jegs with no luck.
Thanks,
Brandon

Teflon tends to allow more oil past the valve stem after it starts to wear. The rubber Viton seals don't have this problem. The teflon doesn’t actually wear so much as it basically gets wallered (is that a word?) out. The up side to teflon is less resistance. I'm looking more to the longevity side of things.

When I needed new seals during the rebuild, I went to Auto Zone and asked for seals for a 98 Chevy truck. They gave me Fel-Pro seals exactly like you want. But, they only have 8 seals, and 8 O-rings. So you will need 2 packages. Cost for the one box was like $8 if I remember.

There are those new dual-material seals that look interesting...Viton or rubber at the outer edges, then Teflon in the center. I'd be interested in trying a set of these...all the cold-start sealing of Viton, and the longevity of Teflon.
