foglights???? distributer???

i keep blowing up my passinger side fog light (and i do mean blowing it up as in exploading) i was wondering if this keeps happening because the power wire for that side is running across the firewall near the distributer????

after i replace it it will work for awhile then after a few times of use it exploades the bulb???? i dont get it if it was a spike of some sort wouldent it blow the fuse first??? im just wondering thanks for you help

are you srue you're not touching the actual glass part of the bulb when you're replacing it? i know the oils from our hand can cause the bulb to explode when heated. use latex gloves next time to prevent that to reduce one variable

hmmm, i don't think the wire running near the distributor would necessarily be the problem. Perhaps the harness that plugs into the bulb is bad?

hmm i think a couple of the members on the have those blazer foglights because they look similar to the OEM foglights but havent' heard of this problem from them. I agree with the other statement about checking all the wiring again if you've already exhausted other possibilities
