ZZ4 cam
Im about to buy one of these for my carbed L98, with about 9.5:1 comp. , vortec heads, headers and such. 700r4 stock stall 3.42 rear.
.474/.510 lift, 208/221 duration at .050 112 lsa
How will this be in daily driver?
Hows the idle?
If you are running it, tell me what you think about it, or should i go a little bigger. Give me your opinion.

It's pretty mild... in the "350 HO Conversion Kit", it was 50-state emissions legal. Gotta be real tame to do that.
WHether you should use that or "go bigger" is a personal decision. We can't answer that for you. It's not one of those right/wrong things, it's what works for you.
Personally I think it's not enough cam. But then again I'm one of those people that thinks there's no such thing as too much cam, only not enough motor.

Still pretty mild for a carbed car.
You'll probably get far more power out of a cam that isn't compromised for working correctly with near-stock fuel injection.

your vortec heads will need to be machined because due to the higher lift of the ZZ4 cam. I will be running the ZZ4 cam when I swap in the 350 Vortec TPI.
