Fuel leak at vent line near charcoal canister??!!

I just got the new motor in my car and running. I had it on the lift tonight putting on the exhaust. After the car ran for about 10 minutes or so, I noticed a fuel leak from the front of the car. I thought one of my lines was loose. NOPE! It was coming from the solid pipe that runs to the charcoal canister. I don't have the canister in the car b/c I removed all of the emissions stuff so it just poured out. Obviously I have something plumbed wrong. Can one of you guys point me in the right direction? Please?!? Thanx.

Your optionsareto either replace the EVAP canister or cap the vent line from the tank. As the tank heats up, air in it will expand, causing any fuel vapor to purge out (what the EVAP is supposed to capture and control).

turns out that I had two of the lines at the tank crossed up. The purge line and the return line were backwards. as soon as the engine heated up the purge valve opended releasing the gas that should have gone to the return line. I flipped them back and no more problems.
