Any wires will be fine as long as you route them well. I'm not too familiar with these particular ones, but you may need some heat sleeving.

Whatever wires you use, make sure they have 90 deg boots.
This will give you the best plug clearance with any headers.

Instead of braided coverings (what a PITA) you can use heat shields form an LT1. They are availble from the dealer.

Or just go buy some cut to fit Taylor 8mm wires w/ 90 degree boots and then get some good wire looms. I'm using the Made For You centerbolt wire looms and I love 'em. The wires are held nicely in place and they worked perfectly for the last 4 months, and I drive my IROC everyday.

Problems with headers is not the wires but the Boot getting burned. My #1 plug boot is my problem. Wire looms will not solve this condition.

You mean a 90 degree plug boot won't clear the tube? What brand headers do you have? I'm more and more pleased with the Hedman's I bought everyday.....

SLP 1 3/4 Headers. Just replace the boot when it gets burnt and starts missing. I have spare boots for this.

I'll try to find the other pics.

As for AC, yup, I took it out, cause I've got everything to swap over to a serpentine system, and I will be converting the AC to R134 when I install everything. I've got all the stuff to add dual fans at the same time as well.

The smog stuff is gone, it was gone when I got the car.

I'll be using a smog delete pulley when I install everything.

I'm going to get my T5 swapped in before I worry with any of the above. Then when I take everything off the front of the engine to install the serpentine stuff, I'm going to go ahead and install the ZZ4 cam.

My problem is finding time.

The planned projects for the IROC by the Fall include:

- '91 Z28 World Class T5 swap. Just need to go and pick up the tranny, and get a clutch and some new hydraulics
- 165 ECM swap, have the ECM, just need to get the rest of the stuff to burn chips
- Dual fan conversion - parts on hand
- Serpentine conversion - parts on hand
- ZZ4 cam swap, with new springs , seals and retainers
- Install new / flowed injectors
- Posi install..holding on this until I can find a 89-92 rear disc setup
- Ram Air boxes
- GTA wheels, hopefully have these soon
- Spohn SFC's
- 145 mph speedo, white face gauges
- 2 5/8 mechanical white face Autometer oil press and water temp gauges under the AC vent

Then I'll start on the interior..tan cloth 4th gen Firebird seats, new carpet, fiberglass T-top headliner, clean and refinish all my interior plastics.

Then I'm socking away cash so I can do the 1LE brake swap up front, go ahead and rebuild the front suspension while it's apart, Hotchkiss springs all the way around, LCA's, Panhard bar and bilstein shocks and struts.

Then by next Summer, I'll be either starting on a 383 / 406 engine, but as of right now I'm considering adding Vortec heads and the SD vortec TPI base ( ported ) and some aftermarket runners to the current 350.

The car will be in the 13's SOLID when the T5 swap is done, then I'll concentrate on the other mods.

Damn I'm tired just thinking about all that work :P
