The new combo
Hey thought I would ask for some input on my new combo. The motor is a 4 bolt 350, flat top pistons that made 9.5 comp w/72cc heads. I was runnin a 600cfm edelbrock carb on top of a stealth intake. The new combo uses the same pistons and intake but thats it. The new combo I ordered is as follows: RPM heads 70cc configuration, the stealth intake and comp xe 268 cam. To top the intake off is a new speed demon carb with 750cfm and an electric choke. Any ideas on power output? The exhuast on the car consists of dynomax shortie headers into a single 3 inch exhaust. I was excited after ordering my parts so I thought I would post.

Should make 390/410 gross hp. Your compression ratio may be lower than you think, unless the block was decked.
The piston usually sits a little below the deck on a stock block.
this has to be accounted for in the cr calculation.
If the block has been true "0 decked" then you'll be fine.
You can also juggle head gasket thicknesses to get the cr where it needs to be.
Alumium heads usually can tolerate and need a little more compression than a cast iron head.
10.0:1 to 10.5:1 would be better. I'd of ordered the 64cc heads.
Should be a real nice improvement over stock smog heads.
