......................change that heater core at once........mine did the same thing except I was going down the freeway when it blew................you might as well get you a case of brew and some bandages for your knuckles also............:lala: :lala: :lala: I see a heater core swap in your future. It's not real easy, but can be done. I believe the dash will need to be removed, IIRC, correct me if I'm wrong guys! It's been a while since I swapped mine.
Mine went out a couple years ago and I didn't have time to fix it, so I just bypassed it by connecting the two hoses connecting to it with a U shaped piece of pipe. I had it like that for three months. You could do the same if you can't fix it right away.

You can bypass the heater core as mentioned in the previous post, if you can live without heat. But the heater core will definitely have to be replaced.
The job is not difficult, but time consuming and you will have to bend and twist to get your hands in some pretty small areas. Some people had to remove the dash, others didn't. I had to completely loosen my dashboard to get enough room. Give yourself an entire day and make sure you keep track of all the screws that you have to pull. Its a pretty straight forward job if you have a manual.

Yup. Heater core. Sucks to be you. I've never done one on a third gen, but I have yet to meet a heater core that would be fun to replace. You can do it though. Pretty straight forward. Better clean that carpet after you're done! Matt
