Cam ?
I have a 305 lg4. I'm planning on a cam swap and want to know what would be the best for stock TC and 3.08 gears. I also have the stock heads am thinking about getting some work done to them. I want something that would be good to drive everyday too.

The Crane Compucams are great. For a stock TC, the 2030 is about all you'd want to do (Summit p/n CRN-114122).
But, why limit yourself so? With the low compression of the early LG4, you can get by with a lot more cam. The few extra bucks a higher stall TC will cost you will be well worth the expense. The results will be most gratifying. Note that I drive mine daily, through the winter no less.
This assumes you go through with your head upgrades (porting, springs should be considered must-do, screw-in studs an excellent idea), and that you ABSOLUTELY do exhaust and air cleaner upgrades.
