hey guys im swappin in a 350 into my car, you know the deal...the guy im getting the motor from says its an 84 motor..i know they didnt put 350's in any camaro/firebird in 84, so im assuming the motor is from a truck or something of the sort...do you guys know what kind of power ill be getting? and also, what would happen if i ran the car with a few A.I.R. tubes chopped off?

well what all are you doing to the motor? we can't tell you much unless you tell us what size cam etc. your gonna put in it. My 350 is out of a 78 truck, it has ported vortec heads, edel. intake, edel. headers, cutout and thats about it, supposedly its making about 320 but thats the flywheel, so at the wheels prob around 250 or so. but anyways just give us more info on the motor.

if you get the casting number(drivers side behind head), suffix code(pass side in front of head), and date stamp(pass side or offset towards middle on rear pass side of block) off it we can easily find your the stock specs for it.
I have a motor from a 1971 blazer in my trans am, and it went in without a hitch. It also has no air tubes on the headers I put in, with a computer, no smog pump, and runs beautifully without a hitch.
