I just installed a k&n today with the intake tubing leading down in front of the engine block. my question is: on the old air box (the canister that houses the old filter) there is a bundle of wires that clip into the canister. what is this? and do i have to somehow connect it to my new setup? i wanna go and test my car out but i want to figure this thing out first.

 

On the 3.1 V-6, that MAY be the IAT sensor connection. I'm not sure. Do you have any photos?

 

yeah i just heard from somebody that it's prob. the IAT. i'll have some pics later today after i get some new batteries for my camera.

 

actually, my camera had just enough juice left. here's the pic....first one is what i think is the IAT, second is what my CAI looks like. my airbox is stayin in my car for a little while, cause i dont have any tools long enough to reach the bolts that hold it in.
