4th gen wheels on a 3rd gen

Please don't tell me to do a search. I looked in 5 different forums searching for 4th gen wheels and came up with nothing.

Will wheels from a 2000 trans am fit on my 87 IROC?
Will spacers or adapters be needed to make them sit at the right depth?

Thanks for the help

You will need spacers. 1-5/8" to 1-3/4" should be about right.

Those would be all the way around. 4th gen wheels are offset such that the tire sits farther in, compared to the hub, by that distance; just look up under the car and see what that will do. I don't think those wheels will even go on that far without hittiing the brakes or something.

Actually check out www.Skulte.com he has a great article on what you need. Widths seem to vary for people for whatever reason.

I used 1.25" in the rear, 2.25" in the front.
