I am about to purchase a 1982 Z28 indy Pacecar in perfect condition except for a busted valve off my best friends uncle (great deal). I am aware that it only has 165 horses (flywheel) and around 250 foot pounds of torque. I have heard that givin them a nice cam with rods, springs, rockers, timing chain, and lifters really wakes her up with long tubes and a catback? is it true that i can get around 250 horses and 300 fpt?, do you know where i could get a whole cam kit with everything included?, I was wondering what was the perfect exhaust for it? Also any helpful hints, tricks, or flaws about the 82' Z28 would be great.

well first off...how many off those were made..is it an original or a clone...if it original i would just try to restore it cuase its gotta be worth some goooood money. that being said, is it a carb, crossfire injection, 305 or 350. All the mods listed will wake up just about any engine. if ya give us a few more facts about the motor we can help you more.
