whats involved in installing a trans go shift kit in a 700R4?
My friend wants to go to the track Wed. night but i want to install a shift kit first. I have Wed off...I would have to be done by about 4 pm so I want to know if this is really involved, or just pretty straight up work. please help!

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
The B&M one was cake, I don't know what's included with the TransGo that's not in the B&M. If there's not too much a difference, the TransGo should be easy as well.
Most of B&M's kit worked with the valve body (replacing springs with spacers, drilling the separator plate). There was one piece, the pressure regulator (in the fluid pump) that was somewhat of a pain. If you change the pressure regulator spring, remember there are two grooves in the pump bore, don't shoot for the bottom one, since it's not a "real" groove. Looks damn close, tho; and don't ask me how I know.

Just put a transco in my 700r4 last week.
Not for a first timer, it involves pulling the valves out of the body and resizing the holes in the plate.This was the second one I've done. My S-10 with a 406 and a 700r4 With out lockup ran 12.01 on the track.
