What size fan???

This weekend im ordering a better electric fan.I was wondering whats the stock size our cars have and what size fits?I was looking at a fan but it comes in 14 inch and 16 inch diameter,3.75 is the depth.Should i get the 14 or 16?Its a 2,950 CFM and draws 9.5 amps. How would this fan be?its from Perma Cool.My car is an 86 Trans Am TPI with a 305...Thanks,Al in NJ

Just a guess, but with the extra heat load of a the axial charger, you might want to consider a dual fan setup from a later ThirdGen instead of a larger single.

ok cool,so will the dual fans flow @ 2,950 CFM also? And does anyone know what size these fans might be and what brand to get from somewhere?

By the way,im not running the supercharger now.

OK heres the deal,i found a nice dual fan set up,it flows at 4,600 CFM but draws a max of 28 Amps.Is this type of amperage gona drain my battery at all or kill my alternator or should i run the fan with some sort of capacitor to keep it from drawing so many amps??? If its gona be too much of a problem i might go with the single fan that flows at 2,950 CFM and only draws 9.5 Amps.
