Question regarding dampener on 89 pbr calipers

Hi,
I can't seem to figure out how these mount onto the caliper assembly. Im talking about the weight or dampener that mounts on the e brake bracket somehow. Every way I try to mount the dampener it fits sloppily or not at all. Does anyone have a picture or can explain how these mount. I have a diagram from gm that is of little help. Thanks
Rob

Altho these are the old-style rear disc calipers, I was missing the dampener entirely on the 84 3.73/posi/disc axle assembly I just purchased. I know what you mean about the diagram, I'm not sure how they'd be mounted either. Maybe you can run without 'em?

All the dampener does is reduces the howl noise when backing up.

Thanks for the info Blak92. I would still like to bolt these on though. There are two possible holes on the brackets but it seems the actual dampener rests loosely on the assembly. Any ideas?
