I think 9 bolts were only used w/ the BW 5-speed. If it's an automatic it should be a 7.5" 10 bolt, right? Either way w/ that motor you should probably get the 3.73's. When you buy gears they only come w/ the ring and pinion if necissary. A locker would be a completely different purchase.

You should have a 7.625" (7 5/8") 10-bolt right now, with 2-series 3.08 gears. When you buy new gears, you'll want ones for a 2-series carrier. Your best bet would be to try to find a whole new rear end with posi, because gears are just gears, you'll still have the open differential.

Yeah you can buy a "locker", it's a posi. Summit has them i think, and jegs might too. If they don't carry them you can easily find a company's web site that produces them.

If you get a posi, you'll need one for 26 spline axles.

Better crawl under your car and count he bolts before ordering anything.

If you clean off the rust on the forward-right side of teh axle and find the three character alphanumeric code (quarter-inch high characters), we can look it up for you and tell for sure.

if you want to upgrade to a Torsen, you could always reference my page:
