MY 85 z starts and dies
I was driving my z and it just died at 1500rpm. The gas level was full. I cant get the car to stay running. I have replaced the timming chain, water pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, fuel filter, smog pump, plugs and wires, newcap, coil, rotor, pickup coil, and distrib module. and i still cant get the car to stay running. the car will start and i can keep it running at around 2000rpm with me pulsing the gas. but as soon as i stop pulsing then it dies. sometimes i can get it to idle at 300-400rpm for a couple of min. but as soon as you touch the gas it dies. i used the jumper wire for the computer but it comes up clean. plz help
Have you checked the fuel pump relay. Mine does this sometimes and I have to unplug it and plug it back in and it works. If not try a different relay.

What engine are you running?
Did you replace all this stuff in an effort to fix the problem?
When, in the sequence of events involving parts replacement, did this problem manifest itself?
Are there any other indications? - loss of power, missing, smoke, untoward noises?
Give us something to work with.

the engine in my z is the 305 ci. TPI 215hp
I had replaced the fuel pump before the problem started but all the rest of the stuff i replaced in attempt to fix the problem. there is no smoke and when the engine gets running it runs just fine.
