TPI Fuel Filter & Thermostat Housing Help

Ok I'm working on my thermostat outside right now and I'm just wondering what is the easiest way to take the thermostat housing off, a wrench doesn't really want to get on the stud and even then you can't turn it enough. Is there a easier way to take the housing off to get to the thermostat? Also can someone please put the guidelines up on how to change a fuel filter on a TPI motor. The motor is a TPI L98.

uhhh... remove the four 10mm screws for the tb, move it aside. remove the two 13mm tstat screws, remove the stat, replace stat, install new gasket, and reverse.
Oh, and dont forget to disconnect the negative battery cable before even getting within 20 feet of your car.

For the fuel filter, get under the back of the car, above the axle you'll find a wiring harness, disconnect the weatherpak connector. There may or may not be a safety pin you have to pull out of the connector for it to release. With the connector unplugged, start the car, it should die in a few moments. Unscrew the mounting bracket from the filter 10mm, loosen the fittings and watch as gas drips from each end of the filter into the kitty litter pan you smartly placed under the filter. Replace the O rings, install a new delco filter, tighten the fittings, reconnect the plug and install safety plug, you're done.
