oil additive

I'm just wondering if anybody uses ant of the engine additives in their oil. You know like duralube, slik50, x1r, prolong, z-max. Do they work like the makers claim they do?

PigSticker,

I'm sure a lot of people use those. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many suits, class actions, and summary judgements against the companies that market them. Oh, did they forget to mention that in their advertisements? Here is a little information: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=164526

you're way ahead to keep the oil and filter changed at regualar intervals, like 3000 miles, and keep the cooling system full and working properely than using additives if you want long trouble free engine operation.
