adding AC to 87 gta
adding AC to 87 gta
ive got an 87 gta that previous owner pulled all of AC except for actual controls in dash......ive debated about selling my car but ive decided that just adding AC would be smarter,so.....heres my question.....would it be easier to add aftermarket system....or try and replace entire factory setup......if anyone has any direct experience that would be great....including pricing info.....im currently located in dallas area.....so if anyone has contact info for someone in that area, even better.....
thanks!

i have JUST pulled the AC in my car, and i have the pump, the wires/tubes, and the canister, basiccally the entire set-up...
the AC was never used in the car, thats why i pulled it out
it came from an 87' LG4 v8 carb engined firebird, so if you think it will work in your car, just pay for shipping and a few bucks ill let ya have it
since i unhooked the hoses though, it should need to be repressurized, just keep that in mind, but it might not need to be
and it should bolt right in to your car no problems at all
(but those have always been famous last words

You just have to get the AC relocation brackets and move the compressor over to the other side.
