Engine Rotates but doesnt Start.
1st of all I have searched...which gave me a few more things to check but i havent found the problem yet.
Basically This morning i got in the car to go write my exam at school...and it wouldnt start
.
It cranks but doesnt actually start... if i give it a bit of gas (accelerate) it starts up...but if it drops down to 2000-1500 rpm it dies... heres what ive checked:
1. if i have enough fuel (i went to gas station and got a galon)
2. checked battery...and battery terminals
3. wiring seems to be ok...
Background info about my car:
Iroc-z '85, 350 TPI
I just put a new ECM in there...so im thinking that might be the problem as well... I dunno how to reprogram it....in fact im just learning about cars in general...
Thanks in advance

like ed suggested a good place to start would be a fuel pressure test.. do a search on testing fuel pressure im sure you will find quite a few threads dealing with testing pressure on a tpi system.. its may just be something as simple as a clogged fuel filter or a carboned up iac motor.. is it throwing any codes?
FOUND IT!
Dang... I feel stupid... I spend 5+ hours troubleshooting...
my dad comes home...10 minutes he finds its the Idle setting screw thats too loose....so we tightened it (giving the engine more air) and it works now
My engine still is a little weird rotations....they seem unsteady... any ideas for that?
