Put trans/engine in?

I know on some vehicles you can do this but I have a 1991 Z-28. Do you guys think you can put the engine in with the trans installed on the back of it? Obviously I would have most of the stuff off the engine. Thanks.

With the pipes, linkages, wiring, and crossmember out of the way, AND the hood off, distributor out, and vehicle raised, you should be able to install it from the front, already assembled. If you are using a manual trans, it could be tricky getting teh seal and shifter to line up with the floor opening, however.

I just put my engine/tranny back in my TA hooked together, of course I have everything out of the engine bay. I found it best to jack the rear of the car up that way the tranny can slide under it without tilting it too far. I installed it by myself with no problems, definatly pull the dist out of the motor first.

That guy's gotta be the Iraqi equivalent of Geraldo - the only source of laughter for the poor Iraqi people in the last couple of months.
