Thermal Barrier Coating of a TPI Intake

Has anyone tried a thermal barrier coating on a TPI intake? Wouldn't it make for a cooler intake? I'm thinking of Jet Hot coating the bottom with a thermal barrier coating to aid in the performance of my new Edelbrock TPI intake.

Coating the bottom portion of the intake base would keep the hot oil from warming up the aluminum intake nearly as fast. But, the upper portion of the TPI system is in contact with air in the engine bay, and I don't believe that jet hot coating would help you there. Better might be a thin black coating which would generate more heat loss through radiation.

Call Endura Coatings in Mesquite, Texas (972)288-3570. They coated my headers for my truck, and did an excellent job, a lot cheaper than HPC. They can also do a couple of different colors.
